Neil oversees the educational program at the Outdoor Lab and is responsible for the daily administration of the facility. Neil’s educational background includes an A.A.S. in Forestry from Paul Smith’s College and a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University. Additionally, he has gained teacher certification through course work at various Northern Virginia colleges. Neil has worked in the outdoors for most of his adult life. Among Neil’s experiences, prior to coming to the Outdoor Lab, are supervising trail crews for the Student Conservation Association, surveying boundary lines for the Payette National Forest, and assisting a Cornell professor with research and teaching. He is a strong proponent of experientially based education and this is reflected in the current program at the Outdoor Lab.

He currently resides in Arlington with his wife Sue Eisenfeld in a home they recently purchased.

Anthony’s many duties include daily administration ofOutdoor Lab activities, help with improving and developing current curriculum, and daily maintenance of the Lab.

Anthony grew up in Arlington, attending public school there. He then went on to Northern Virginia Community College and to Prescott College in Central Arizona, working toward a B.A. in Environmental Education. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the outdoors. He’s certified as a wilderness first responder and has spent the last several years teaching in and out of the classroom. Anthony spent the 97-98 school year developing and leading programs for State Forests and Parks of Massachusetts under the Student Conservation Association and Americorps.

Anthony currently enjoys living in Arlington close to his family and friends.
